As a member of our team, you'll receive comprehensive training and support to enhance your skills and build a career in medical model fabrication. This position is within our Fiberglass department, where you will learn to create large animal models.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively
- Ability to work with silicone, fiberglass, epoxy resins, and urethanes
- Experience with molds and fiberglass (preferred but not necessary)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- WHMIS Certification (required but will supply onsite training)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fibreglass Laminator to join our team. The Fibreglass Laminator will be responsible for fabricating and assembling fibreglass parts using various techniques and tools in a team environment. VSI is committed to providing on-site training to ensure your success.
Duties:
- Fabricate fibreglass parts according to specifications
- Apply resin and fibreglass mat to molds
- Operate hand and power tools for cutting, trimming, and finishing fibreglass parts
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to fabricate and assemble fibreglass components
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50-$22.00 per hour
