French Teacher Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic French Teacher Assistant to support our French language programs for adult learners. The ideal candidate will have strong French language proficiency, familiarity with TCF and TEF exam formats, and experience working with adult students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead instructor in conducting French language classes.
- Support students in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Provide guidance on TCF and TEF exam preparation.
- Monitor student progress and offer individualized support when needed.
- Assist with classroom management and student engagement.
- Help prepare teaching materials, practice exercises, and assessments.
- Answer student questions and provide academic support during and outside class hours as required.
Requirements
- Minimum French proficiency level of C1 or C2, particularly in speaking and listening.
- Good understanding of TCF and TEF examination formats and requirements.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring adult learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with and manage adult students.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evening or weekend availability.
- Passion for language education and student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience preparing students for TCF and/or TEF examinations.
- Formal training or certification in French language teaching.
- Experience working in a classroom or educational setting.
Compensation
- $20–$25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
