POSITION DETAILS:
Silverwood’s is seeking energetic and experienced bartenders and servers to join our team. Our bartenders and servers are responsible for developing and executing our bar and restaurant's food and beverage program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling tee-times for our golfing patrons.
- Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to set Silverwood’s recipes.
- Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving food & beverages.
- Greeting customers upon entrance to our facility in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operating point-of-sale terminals
- Ensuring timely delivery of food & drink orders and completing quality checks with customers.
- Paying close attention to customers with special dietary needs.
- Monitoring bar inventory and replenishing supplies and ingredients when needed.
- Supervising & training new hires.
- Dealing with and resolving customer complaints or concerns with a positive attitude.
- Collaborating with all other FOH and BOH staff.
- Completing side duties.
- Issuing bills and collecting payments from customers.
- Preparing end of shift cash out.
- Ensuring the bar is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Ensuring compliance with provincial liquor laws and federal food safety regulations.
- Reporting bar & lounge accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
- Adhering to all current COVID-19 protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a bartender.
- Minimum two (2) years experience as a server.
- Knowledge of alcohol pairing and tastes.
- Mixology or the ability to make traditional cocktails and create new ones.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Basic math skills and the ability to keep track of customer tabs.
- Food & drink safety and preparation skills.
- Familiarity with local liquor laws and the ability to enforce them.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of Secondary School.
- Post-Secondary Certification would be an asset.
- Smart Serve Certification.
REPORTING
- Servers and Bartenders are supervised by the Assistant Managers, who report directly to the General Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
