The Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) (Haul Truck) is directly accountable to the Mine Operations Foreman
RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way, conforming to all relevant legislation, policies, operating manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in keeping with production targets.
- Troubleshoot problems, perform minor maintenance as required, and notify the supervisor of any mechanical or production issues throughout the shift.
- Complete daily reports and time sheets as required.
- Notify the supervisor immediately of any incident or near-miss and participate in any resulting investigation
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks as required.
- No camp available, you are required to hold residence, on some level, in the town of Grande Cache for the duration of your work rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Some high school education is required, a grade 12 diploma or GED is preferred.
Minimum 2 years' experience in an open pit mining environment operating one of the following:
- Haul Truck: Operating Komatsu 830E, 777 haul trucks or similar equipment. The similarity will be determined by CST

- Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.

WAGES AND BENEFITS
- $34.19 - $41.27 per hour
