Our client is looking for a dedicated Configuration Management Analyst to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports the reliability of key business services by strengthening configuration management practices, improving data quality, and enabling informed operational decision-making. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with strong analytical skills, the ability to manage and maintain accurate service data, and a commitment to driving consistency, quality, and operational excellence across service management practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support configuration management to ensure reliable IT services.
Maintain the CMDB, improving data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Develop and enforce configuration management standards, processes, and governance.
Collaborate with teams to identify, manage, and track configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
Administer ServiceNow tools, including Discovery and Service Mapping, and apply configuration controls.
Conduct audits, reviews, and reconciliations to ensure data quality and compliance.
Create and maintain process documentation, knowledge articles, and user guidance.
Provide training and support on configuration management practices and ServiceNow usage.
Develop reports and dashboards to monitor compliance, data health, and service performance.
Partner with change management teams to assess the impact of changes on services and configuration items.
Diploma or degree in Business Administration or Information Systems.
3–5 years of experience in service management, analytics, or a related role.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including configuration management and service data administration.
Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, controls, and IT service management best practices.
Experience with audits, reconciliations, and data quality improvement initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and collaborate across teams.
Proven ability to analyze processes, identify improvements, and implement operational enhancements.
Understanding of change management and the impact of service changes on configuration items and business operations.
