We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist to join our team at our TORONTO LOCATION BARBERSHOP. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Schedule appointments
- Serve clients coffee
- Maintain the barbershop to always be clean
- Hot towels
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document proofreading
- Assist with administrative duties including document preparation, correspondence, and record keeping
- Support front desk operations by managing incoming mail, emails, and inquiries
- Provide customer support by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Proven experience, preferably in barbershop environments
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and data entry software like QuickBooks
- Cash handling
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in typing and proofreading
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette for handling multi-line phone systems
- Clerical experience including filing, record management, and administrative support
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Previous experience in medical or dental office settings is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of bookkeeping or basic accounting practices is advantageous
