Together with the Vice President, Investment Development, Infrastructure for Capital, the key mandate for the Manager, Investment Development is to work with SNC-Lavalin's Infrastructure sector to develop and assist in implementing an investment strategy in that sector.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Identify the available business opportunities, the procurement processes and the approach to be deployed for those markets.
Identify key tactics and actions, in conjunction with both the Capital and Infrastructure teams with the objective to capture a fair share of the market and create a solid assets base for SNC-Lavalin over the years.
In addition, the strategy must include the participation in setting-up the relevant investment vehicles.
For Canada, together with the VP Investment Development Infrastructure for Capital, work at structuring consortia to pursue P3 opportunities. Lead for Capital the bid process from RFQ to RFP submission and financial close where applicable. Coordinate together with the Business Units and the other Capital Groups the preparation of due diligence packages for lenders (term sheet, drop down contracts, Lenders Technical Advisors report and Lenders Insurance Advisor report) and internal approval process.
Responsible to establish the quality standards of the qualification and bidding material produced by Capital and ensure its implementation in the various regions. Identify the resources available to produce such documentation, in the various offices and at the Infrastructure Business Unit.
Together with the VP Investment Development Infrastructure, EDPM and Infrastructure Services Business Unit, develop and assist in implementing Infrastructure Strategy and business plans.
Proposals coordination: Ensure that the Capture team leaders have the resources needed from Investment Management and Financial Assessment and Legal.
Coordinate with the sector bid director the development of the bid deliverables from a finance, design, construction, operations and maintenance standpoint.
Ensure the business is properly managed to the highest standards at all levels and in terms of business ethics, integrity in how we deal with financial partners and ensure governance guidelines are respected and followed.
Lead by example and behave according to the SNC-Lavalin’s values and code of conduct.
Build and maintain SNC-Lavalin’s brand/reputation both internally and externally.
What will you contribute?
Degree in business, finance or engineering required.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to think strategically, effectively screen project opportunities from a risk-reward perspective, understand and present complex concepts and include a certain degree of innovation.
Commercial and contract understanding.
Previous developer and bid director experience preferred.
Ability to produce high quality documentation - Teasers, strategy, business cases, qualifications, bids, etc. Coordination of the required staff to provide the inputs, and overall responsibility of the structure and final output.
Integrity and transparency in communication and team oriented.
Must be a result driven self-starter, with the ability to execute multiple tasks under pressure, effectively set priorities in a collaborative fashion to meet tight deadlines.
Resilience in ever-changing industry and market environments.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), consultative approach and able to influence others to support objectives.
English required, French an asset.
