Job Summary
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for providing lawn and landscape services to commercial properties through the safe, efficient, and timely completion of assigned tasks. This role involves hands-on outdoor work, operating landscaping equipment, and supporting team members to maintain high-quality service standards.
Responsibilities:

Perform manual duties to maintain landscaped environments including but not limited to mowing and raking lawns, weeding gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs.

Assist with landscape installation and enhancement activities, including spreading topsoil, laying sod, planting flowers, shrubs and trees, and installing landscape features as directed.

Report issues or deficiencies involving lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, or other landscaped areas to the Crew Lead.

Identify and immediately report workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or near misses to the Crew Lead.

Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and direct customer concerns or complaints to the Crew Lead or Supervisor.

Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment including but not limited to riding mowers, walk behind mowers, push mowers and a variety of power and non-powered hand tools.

Follow all Company policies and procedures, including applicable health and safety requirements and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Perform other duties related to landscape maintenance and enhancement as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Read and interpret documents such as Health & Safety regulations, equipment operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, crew leads, supervisors, and customers.

Carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to handle customer interactions professionally and direct concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Basic understanding of applicable workplace health and safety requirements, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Must frequently lift/or move up to 11 KG (25 pounds) and occasionally lift/or move up to 22 KG (50 pounds).

The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
