The Position:
Office Team Lead (accounting, logistics, order management).
Reports to the President.
Full-time on-site position located in Brampton, ON at 230 Deerhurst Drive.
You:
The ideal candidate is a highly organized problem solver, with a background in accounting.
You will be leading by example, supervising, and supporting a small team that runs the company's HQ office functions (accounting, logistics, order management).
Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate all accounting & order management functions.
- Investigate deductions, penalties, and past due accounts.
- Monitor all collection activities and develop processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables.
- Prepare and analyze monthly reports.
- Troubleshoot EDI issues, as needed.
- Document company procedures and reference guides in writing.
- Ensure all company workflows and protocols are being followed.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Supervise, support, motivate.
Required Competencies:
- Experience leading a team, preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain a calendar, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, hardworking, ethical, positive attitude.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Accounts Receivable and billing.
- Strong understanding of accounting practices.
- Experience with Accpac / Sage accounting software preferred.
- Experience with EDI ordering systems preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong MS Excel experience.
- Own vehicle, able to commute to work easily.
