Position Summary
We are seeking reliable, positive, and hard-working Retail Store Associates to join our Fort Simpson location. As a Budtender, you will be the face of our store—guiding customers through our inventory, answering product questions, and ensuring our daily operations run safely, smoothly, and in full compliance with territorial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about different cannabis products, strains, and accessories, and provide a great shopping experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly follow Northwest Territories retail cannabis regulations, including checking government-issued IDs to verify legal age (19+).
- Point of Sale (POS): Handle transactions accurately, balance the cash drawer at the end of shifts, and follow store opening and closing protocols.
- Inventory & Store Upkeep: Help receive stock, organize secure storage areas, restock display cabinets, and keep the sales floor exceptionally clean and organized.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Age: Must be 19 years of age or older (NWT regulatory requirement).
- Background Check: Successful candidates will be required to obtain and provide a current Criminal Record Check from the local Fort Simpson RCMP detachment.
- Certification: Must have or be willing to complete the mandatory NWT cannabis retail worker certification prior to your start date.
- Experience: Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience is an asset, but not required. We are completely willing to train the right person who shows a strong work ethic and reliability.
