Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a clean and efficient environment while supporting the preparation of delicious meals. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our food service operations, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality settings.
Duties
- Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to management.
- Clean work surfaces and ensure that all kitchen areas comply with health regulations.
- Support the cooking staff during peak hours by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating meals.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules to ensure the kitchen remains a safe and sanitary environment.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Basic knowledge of food service operations and food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
