Role: Procurement Engineer, Supervisor

Pay: Up to $120/hr based on relevant skills and years of experience
Overview
Our client is seeing an experienced Procurement Engineer, Supervisor with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the nuclear industry and current security clearance. You will provide daily front-line supervision and technical support for a team of engineers and support staff in a specific engineering specialty or function, and supervise the execution of engineering processes, reviews progress and updates management, as needed. This scope of work typically includes planning and scheduling work, supervising workflow, and adherence to budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
- Plan and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
- Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
- Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
- Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
- Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Research and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
- Work on special projects, as directed.
- Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.
- Utilize existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
- Actively participate in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
- Provide input to, or conducts, staff appraisals.
Required Education & Experience
- Successful completion of a 4 year Engineering degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- P.Eng Designation

- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
- Good analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.

Pay: $85.00-$125.00 per hour
