Upon completion of this temporary position the successful candidate will revert to their former position and the filling of subsequent vacancies will likewise be reversed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
- Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BScN preferred.
- Current BCLS.
- 3-5 years experience (within the last 2 years) in Perinatal care (OB triage, labour & delivery skills, intrapartum, post partum), Paediatric & Level II Nursery
- Certification and experience within last 2 years in Fetal Health Surveillance and Neonatal Resuscitation.
- Completion of Breastfeeding Education Course
- IV certification.
- Certification in added nursing skills required for caring for Perinatal/Paediatrics patients.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Certification in Paediatric advanced life support (PALS) preferred.
- Perinatal Education course preferred.
- Canadian Nurses Association Perinatal Nursing Certification preferred.
- Satisfactory Attendance
- Member of RNAO perferred
