Wawa Camp Coordinator
Reporting to the Phase 3+ Project Director, the Wawa Camp Coordinator will lead the operational readiness, start-up and ongoing operational coordination of the temporary camp, acting as primary liaison between the Owner’s team and the camp management contractor. The role will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient delivery of camp services, resolving operational issues and ensuring the camp is adequately accommodating the project’s workforce and that company policies are being adhered to. This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary liaison between the Owner’s team, and the camp management contractor for all camp-related activities
- Validate the contractor’s operational readiness, commissioning and startup of the temporary camp.
- Coordinate with logistics and reservations to align camp capacity with personnel mobilization.
- Monitor the contractor’s performance against agreed upon requirements and standards.
- Identify and resolve operational issues, camp deficiencies and resident concerns.
- Prepare and maintain camp status and occupancy reports.
- Conduct and support inspections and audits of accommodations, kitchens, dining areas, recreational facilities, water systems, etc.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness requirements, including fire protection, evacuation procedures and contingency plans.
- Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Hospitality industry experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of administration experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
- Valid driver's license
Schedule:
The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation, rotation is standard for our remote site operations, local residency (Wawa) is preferred, in which case the role will follow a standard 5-and-2 schedule
Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
