Heavy Warehouse Associate

Position Overview
We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is a physically demanding role involving trailer unloading, order picking, and handling large appliances and commodities. Permanent opportunities may be available for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
· Unload trailers and handle large appliances and commodities.
· Pick and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
· Move, organize, and stage products within the warehouse.
· Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
· Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years of previous warehouse experience required.
· Ability to operate pallet jack and two-wheel dollies required.
· Must have previous experience with receiving and order picking.
· Ability to regularly lift between 50 lbs and 75 lbs.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Experience using material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies.
· Clamp Truck experience is considered a strong asset but is not required.
· Must possess CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
· Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
· Must provide a clean criminal background check.
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid work permit, Permanent Residency, or Canadian Citizenship.
Schedule
· Operations run seven days per week between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
· Most shifts are 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
· Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule and be open to various shift times and days.
· Full-time employees typically work 40 hours per week.
· Part-time and flexible schedules are available for candidates seeking supplemental income.
· Overtime is paid after 48 hours worked per week, in accordance with provincial regulations.
