TREE SERVICE PROJECT MANAGER
Tree Service Industry Experience Required
We are seeking an experienced Tree Service Project Manager to lead residential and commercial tree care, arboriculture, and urban forestry projects from initial client consultation through project completion.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the tree service industry, strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing multiple tree care projects safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining the highest arboricultural standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial tree care, arboriculture, vegetation management, and urban forestry projects from planning through completion
- Coordinate field crews, arborists, climbers, ground personnel, equipment, and resources to ensure safe and efficient project execution
- Conduct site assessments, tree inspections, hazard tree evaluations, and jobsite visits to oversee project progress and ensure quality workmanship
- Oversee tree removal, tree pruning, canopy management, crown reduction, stump grinding, plant health care, and emergency tree service operations
- Communicate with clients regarding project scope, tree preservation recommendations, scheduling, and completion expectations
- Monitor project budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, productivity, and profitability
- Prepare project reports, work orders, estimates, and maintain accurate job documentation
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency, crew performance, safety culture, and service delivery
- Support estimating, sales activities, customer consultations, and project planning as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing residential and commercial tree care or arboriculture projects
- Proven experience in the tree service, arboriculture, urban forestry, or vegetation management industry
- Strong knowledge of tree removal, tree pruning, tree preservation, plant health care, risk assessment, and arboricultural operations
- Experience managing field crews, arborists, climbers, equipment, and multiple job sites
- Knowledge of tree biology, tree identification, industry safety standards, and best management practices
- Experience with aerial lift operations, rigging, crane-assisted tree work, and specialized tree care equipment is an asset
- Excellent organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong communication, client relations, and customer service abilities
- ISA Arborist Certification, TRAQ, Utility Arborist, or related industry credentials considered an asset
- Experience with estimating, sales, proposal preparation, and client consultations
- Proficiency in scheduling, job costing, project tracking, and operational planning
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
