Raise is currently hiring a Supply Chain Professional on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Supply Chain Professional in this role will support our clients Vernon Capital Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing the flow of materials to various project sites across British Columbia. You will work on low-to-medium complexity supply chain strategies and sourcing activities, ensuring project materials arrive safely, on schedule, and in compliance with the orgnaizations standards and public sector procurement frameworks.
Responsibilities

Material Release & Tracking: Coordinate material release processes and rigorously track shipments destined for active capital construction project sites throughout BC.

Site Inspections: Conduct periodic site visits across the region to inspect material deliveries, review inventory accuracy, and verify quality standards.

Sourcing & Strategy Support: Assist in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and work packages aligned with BC Hydro’s category management processes and public sector procurement laws.

Procurement Operations: Support competitive bidding activities (including RFPs), contract extensions, and supplier negotiations under standard oversight.

Supplier & Stakeholder Relations: Act as a central point of contact between supply chain operations, internal project teams, site managers, and external vendors to resolve logistics or material escalations promptly.

Reporting & Analysis: Leverage advanced analytical tools to provide material tracking updates, supply chain status reports, and vendor performance metrics to key stakeholders.
Qualifications

(5) years of experience in sourcing, category management, or material logistics—preferably within a large, complex, or public-sector enterprise.

Proven track record in material release coordination, tracking, and logistics handling.

Advanced MS Office skills, particularly with Excel (data tracking/analysis), Word, and PowerPoint.

Site Visit Capability: Willingness and physical ability to conduct periodic regional site visits for material inspections.

Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in good standin

Key Assets (Strong Advantages)

Direct hands-on experience using SAP for material tracking, inventory management, or purchase order execution.

Previous experience supporting infrastructure capital projects, utilities, or heavy construction environments
- Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent).

Professional coursework or credentials in Supply Chain Management (e.g., SCMP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
