This is not an office job. It requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
Duties
- Strictly adhere to and comply with Health and Safety policies, rules, and regulations
- Load rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
- Work closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
- Handle material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
- When not on deliveries you will be required to perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping, receiving or other duties as required
- Maintain clean and organized work environment
Skills and Abilities
- Must understand and comply with required health and safety regulations
- Able to assess a situation and recognize potential hazards
- Must have strong reasoning and problem solving skills
- Be comfortable working at heights
- Able to lift of up to 36kg (80lbs.)
- Able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Past experience in building products and/or working at heights are definite assets
- Full training will be provided
Qualifications
- Fall Protection Certification (an asset)
- Workings at Heights Certification (an asset)
