Position Details
The University of Lethbridge is seeking applications for the position of Event and Front Office Coordinator in the Conference and Event Services Office. This is a full time 14 month term.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Conference and Event Services this position will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of our year round Lux Hotel, coordinating small external events and ensuring an efficient operation while respecting the service philosophy as well as industry standards. Conference and Event Services is a full cost- recovery, multi-faceted operation that manages external event bookings on campus and the campus hotel. The successful candidate will manage a team of student employees, work with professionals throughout the University of Lethbridge to deliver quality service to customers as well as provide administrative support to management.

The successful candidate will have an interest in Management, Sales, Marketing, financial accounting and customer service. A proactive individual dedicated to building new and sustainable business practices and procedure is an ideal candidate. Strong communication, organization and a demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment is necessary. A key measure of success is the ability to build strong working relationships with major customers both on and off campus to attract new business and to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures.

Note: This term position has potential to become permanent.

Position Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Diploma in a related field. Experience in hotel or accommodation sales, marketing, financial accounting and customer service will be considered an asset. A proactive individual dedicated to building new and sustainable business practices and procedures is the ideal candidate. Strong communication, organization and a demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment is necessary. Hiring Range
$3,604.00 – $4,010.00 monthly
