Duties and Responsibilities:
- Harvest mushrooms in accordance with customer requirements
- Picks mushrooms and place them into trays or boxes
- Meets requirements for size, weight, cleanliness, stem length and condition
- Uses clean sharp harvesting or paring knife, Wear gloves
- Ensures mushrooms are harvested within customer specifications as instructed by the supervisor and Quality department
- Ensures mushrooms are harvested in a manner that reduces or eliminates knock overs and ensures clean edges and the highest quality mushrooms
- Follows instruction of Supervisor and the Quality Control Technician
- Adheres to Safety Policies, uses proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
- As reasonably requested in aid of operations or culture compliance, performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada with no restrictions.
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure or tight deadlines
- Able to stand and lift, use hands, eyes and legs
- Positive attitude and great attendance record
- Flexible to change and a willingness to do a good job each day
Hours of Work:
- 5 - 6 days/week
- 6:00 - 7:00 am start time, approximately 6:00 - 10:00 pm end time
- Average of 30 - 60 hours a week
- Public holidays/Weekends as scheduled
