Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our JBS expedite team as a Van Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the van, a 2025 Mercedes Sprinter Cargo, between Canada and USA. It is an expedite job where you will be paid per $0.45/miles, waiting charge and layovers will be paid extra. A company credit card will be provided for fuel and other expenses on the van. You will be assigned a van which must be parked legally at your residence. It is a very time sensitive role and requires planning ahead.
Duties
- Safely and responsibly operate the van.
- Communicate clearly with the dispatch and follow their instructions .
- Ensure all moving activities comply with safety protocols and company policies.
- Routine inspection of the vehicle before the start of every trip.
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle.
Experience
- G license with 2 years of experience.
- Applicant must be at least 25 years old.
- Must be a PR holder or a Citizen of Canada (no work visa).
- Must be able to cross the border frequently.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or experience in commercial driving is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
