Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in meal preparation and food handling. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality meal preparation.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
