Duties
- Support the head chef in managing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in coordinating food service operations to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes
- Oversee food presentation and ensure consistency across all menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and storage areas
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on high standards of food quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling practices within the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in hospitality settings, including bartending or serving, is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with restaurant management operations and maintaining high standards of customer service
