WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a talented Test Engineer – Mechanical to join our Test and Qualification team. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role will report to Manager, Test and Qualification, and will be integral to advancing scalable computer cooling solutions at CoolIT Systems, Inc.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test plans that will ensure compliance to internal, or customer defined standards.
- Understand hardware and software requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test strategies and procedures
- Conduct testing (including creep resistance, HALT, temperature stress testing, thermal cycling, mechanical stress testing, etc), troubleshooting, investigation of design defects and perform root cause analysis
- Design and develop automated test equipment
- Component selection and preparation of bill of materials for electromechanical test systems
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Attend internal and external meetings
WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical or relevant field
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of instrumentation including pressure transducers, temperatures sensors, flow sensors, etc.
- Understanding of ASTM and ISO test standards.
- Knowledge of programming tools such as LabView, Python, C/C++, etc.
- Working knowledge of RS232, RS485, Modbus, I2C, SNMP, TCP/IP and UDP protocols
- Demonstrated experience in testing and qualifying electro-mechanical parts and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid experience in setting up and using DAQ’s, sensors and actuators
- Experience in using bench tools (oscilloscope, power analyzer, logic analyzer, multimer, etc)
Skills:
- Mentoring of staff on test procedures, test development and best practices for product development
