About the Role
We're hiring experienced Security Doormen to work at premier venues, events, and establishments across Victoria and Vancouver Island. You'll be the first point of contact for guests—setting the tone for safety, professionalism, and hospitality. This isn't just door work; it's about prevention, communication, and creating positive experiences while maintaining security.
From nightclubs and bars to corporate events and concerts, you'll represent our reputation for excellence while developing your skills alongside like-minded professionals.
What You'll Do
· Control access and verify IDs at various venues
· Manage guest lists and VIP access
· De-escalate conflicts using professional communication
· Conduct security patrols and monitor for safety concerns
· Respond to incidents quickly and effectively
· Provide first aid when needed
· Maintain detailed incident reports
· Work as part of a collaborative security team
What You Need
· Valid BC Security Workers License
· Serving it Right certification
· Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1)
· 2+ years of related security experience
· Flexible availability including afternoons/evenings (weekends required)
· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
· Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures
· Professional, disciplined, honest, and ethical approach
· Sound judgment with hands-on problem-solving skills
· Exceptional conflict resolution abilities
· Calm demeanor under pressure
· Strong observation and communication skills
· Proficient in English (verbal & written)
· Clean criminal record
· Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
· Military or law enforcement background
· Advanced first aid certifications
· Event security or hospitality experience
· De-escalation training
