The Document Management Clerk role is an integral part of the Communication Services team here at Empire Life. The successful candidate will get to apply and develop their leadership, decision making & organizational skills while supporting the service and administrative requirements of the business unit.

Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and courteous resolution of enquiries from internal stakeholders, Distribution Partners and customers

Prepare, deliver, and pickup confidential material from business units as per service standards

Provide accurate sorting of documents for daily shipments via Canada Post and national couriers within established schedules & service standards

Manage Distribution Partner information to ensure documents are shipped to the correct locations

Maintain a focus on cost vs. service & internal processes while guiding employees and co-workers to make informed decisions for optimal delivery options

Sort incoming and outgoing documentation and time sensitive client information (cheques, explanation letters) within required timelines to ensure timely mail room pick up

Skills & Experience Required:
Detail oriented professional with a minimum of 1 year work experience in financial services, records management, administration, or distribution.

Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and projects

Competencies with mail processing, word processing & spreadsheets

Strong communication & literacy skills

Bilingualism (English/French) an asset

WHIMS and First Aid certifications an asset

Working Conditions:
Office and/or warehouse environments

Prolonged periods of sitting while using a computer and/or telephone

Hours of Work

Monday-Friday (8:30 AM-5:00 PM)

The successful candidate may be required to work extended hours and/or overtime to support service requirements

Ability to withstand periods of physical exertion (pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, bending)
