Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring a smooth clinical operation. Experience with dental software and procedures in orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry is highly valued. The RDA will work in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Cleardent and Curve
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed and assist with billing or insurance paperwork as needed
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Cleardent and Curve
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Skilled in dental assisting techniques including sterilization, radiography, and chairside support
- Familiarity with CAD technology for imaging or modeling purposes is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control standards and safety protocols in a clinical setting
