We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate law, employment law or a combination of both. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who enjoys a varied in-house practice, values the team environment and wants to work closely with senior leadership on meaningful legal and business matters.
Position Overview
Reporting to the General Counsel and working as a member of the Corporate & Legal Services Team, the Paralegal will assist with a broad range of corporate, governance, employment, compliance, litigation and commercial matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Mullen Group’s portfolio of companies while helping maintain a high standard of legal and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Governance
· Maintain corporate records, minute books, and organizational documents for Mullen Group and its subsidiaries.
· Draft resolutions, consents, director and officer appointments, and other corporate governance documents.
· Coordinate entity management activities and support corporate restructuring projects.
· Assist with board and committee materials, governance initiatives and compliance reporting.
Employment & Labour Matters
· Draft and maintain employment agreements, offer letters, restrictive covenant agreements and related employment documentation.
· Assist with employee investigations, disciplinary matters, accommodation requests and termination processes.
· Support litigation and employment-related disputes by gathering and organizing evidence and records.
· Research employment legislation and prepare practical summaries for internal stakeholders.
· Assist in developing and updating employment policies and procedures.
Legal Operations & Commercial Support
· Manage legal databases, matter tracking systems and contract repositories.
· Coordinate with external counsel and business unit representatives on ongoing matters.
· Review and organize contracts, leases and commercial agreements.
· Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, reports and presentations.
· Assist with acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities.
· Support records management and document retention initiatives.
Compliance & Regulatory
· Assist with securities, governance, privacy and regulatory compliance matters.
· Coordinate filing deadlines and maintain compliance calendars.
· Support policy reviews and legal playbook development initiatives.
· Monitor legal developments and prepare updates for management.
Qualifications
Required
· Diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies or equivalent legal education.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate law, employment law or an in-house legal environment.
· Strong understanding of corporate records management and corporate filings.
· Experience preparing legal documents and correspondence.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Co-Pilot and PowerPoint.
Preferred
· Experience supporting a publicly traded company.
· Familiarity with transportation, logistics or multi-entity corporate structures.
· Experience using legal matter management or entity management software.

Pay: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
