Key Accountabilities:
Seeks out new builder mortgage business by leveraging relationships developed in the home building business community, as directed by the VP, Retail Banking.
Identifies and cross-sells other product and services sales opportunities while delivering a positive member experience.
Provides on-site show home presence on evenings and weekends as required, based on Service Level Agreements set out by the VP, Retail Banking.
Provides flexibility and convenience for existing and new members by arranging meetings at their home, place of business, retail branch, or home builder sales centres.
Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of all mortgage products and services and their related features and benefits in order to deepen and enhance member relationships.
Achieves and/or exceeds individual targets for sales and referrals as mutually agreed upon in the annual business plan.
Conducts appropriate due diligence in the underwriting and documentation collection process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of mortgage applications before submission for approval.
Ensures profitability of all transactions through appropriate application of rates (discretionary pricing, risk-based lending), fees, and service charges.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of retail products and services.
Builds collaborative working relationships with team members external to the department and external networks within areas of specialization.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
4 - 6 years of experience in mortgage lending in Financial Services and/or real estate.
Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation an asset.
Proven ability to achieve sales goals and recognize new sales opportunities.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
