Bud Tender / Order Fulfillment / Host
The budtenders are the front line experts of our store. You have an advanced knowledge of cannabis and can assist customers in all facets of their buying and using needs.
You are the backbone of the store. You are quick and efficient and can pay attention to the little details.
You are the first and last person our customers will see while entering and exiting our store. You are cheerful, smart and kind with a warm and inviting personality.
1-3 years of retail customer service experience in a high-volume setting;
Fundamental knowledge of Cannabis and ability to clearly communicate the basics of responsible use
Understanding of rules and regulations of the AGCO (the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario);
Ability to remain calm at in high pressure environments;
Strong integrity and ethics;
Ability to lift 50lbs or more and are comfortable with long periods of standing;
Experience with retail POS software and devices;
Support the Assistant and Store Managers as needed;
Proudly represent the TNJ brand and ensure that the customer experience is consistent;
Work as part of an efficient and effective team; maintain a positive work culture and atmosphere;
Ensure that all TNJ standard operating procedures are properly followed;
Perform age verification duties while maintaining strict customer confidentiality;
Provide the appropriate knowledge to assist customers in selecting cannabis products to meet their preferences;
Pick, pack and fulfill product orders
Sort, count and label incoming product inventory;
Clean and organize product shelving and displays as needed;
Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding emerging cannabis products, consumption methods, devices and accessories;
Assist with any other duties as needed/assigned;
Flexible Availability – Candidates with limited availability may not be considered;
Available to work nights, weekends, holidays and peak summer season;
Different shifts available for full time/ part time/seasonal
All applicants must be at least 19 years of age or older;
Applicants must be eligible to legally work in Canada without sponsorship for an unlimited period of time.
Additional skills we are looking for but do not require include:
Video and/or Design Editing proficiency;
Social Media Marketing;
CannSell “Standard” or “Expert” Certificate;
All new employees are required to submit a current and clear Criminal Background Check that has been obtained no longer than 90 calendar days prior to the date of hiring.
