Job Overview:
As the District Manager, you will oversee security operations for your assigned district. With exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of security operations, and a customer-focused mindset, you will be responsible for developing and growing your security team and ensuring our clients receive the best security services. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Manager in the Lower Mainland, Western Canada Operations Manager and ultimately the Director of Operations. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our business operations.

What you will do
- Provide comprehensive leadership and oversight for all company operations within the district, ensuring effective management of all assigned sites and operations.
- Facilitate and ensure proper training for new hires within the district, fostering a well-prepared and knowledgeable workforce.
- Manage and maintain control over company-owned property, including uniforms and equipment, ensuring proper usage and accountability.
- Assist the Regional Manager in overseeing district operations, client management, and other related tasks, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.
- Efficiently lead and manage the district workforce, including scheduling, supervision, and guidance of 50+ security personnel.
- Actively contribute to company growth by maintaining and strengthening client relationships, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Create and manage weekly employee schedules, maintain accurate records using TrackTik software, and ensure seamless security operations across multiple retail locations.
- Be available to cover shifts in emergencies, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to operational stability.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks, including new hire paperwork, reports, and forms, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
What you'll bring
- A Valid Alberta Security License is required.
- Proven experience in the security industry; prior retail security experience is highly preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is required; management experience is a valuable asset.
- A valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle and willingness to use it for work-related purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in the English language.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of setting clear objectives and guiding teams to success.
- Knowledgeable in safety processes and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Willingness to attend meetings and training sessions for continuous skill enhancement.
- Use of Force Certification and PPCT is an asset.
- A post-secondary degree is an asset.
