Raise Workforce has partnered with the leading provider of workforce camp and hospitality services, operations and maintenance services. They are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the setup, assembly, and general maintenance of a temporary camp project in Northern Canada.
This is a hands-on operating role supporting the movement, placement, and positioning of oversized materials, equipment, trailers, and other camp components. The successful candidate will work closely with the onsite team to safely and efficiently keep the camp setup moving. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to travel, and seeing the North while gaining work experience.

Safely operate telehandlers / zoom booms to move and position materials and equipment
-
Operate skid steers as required
-
Assist with positioning and setting trailers and other camp structures
-
Move oversized equipment and materials around the worksite
-
Load, unload, lift, and place materials as directed
-
Assist with site setup and preparation activities
-
Support the team with moving materials, supplies, and equipment
-
Perform daily equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operating area
-
Work closely with labourers, tradespeople, and the onsite project team
-
Assist with general site tasks when equipment operation is not required

Follow all site safety procedures and direction from supervisors

Perform other duties as required

Previous experience operating telehandlers / zoom booms
-
Experience operating skid steers
-
Valid telehandler/forklift or equivalent equipment operator certification/licence
-
Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a worksite environment

Experience moving and positioning large or oversized materials is an asset

Strong understanding of equipment safety and operating procedures
-
Comfortable working outdoors and in changing weather conditions
-
Physically capable and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
-
Strong teamwork and communication skills
-
Comfortable working away from home in a remote camp environment for one month
