Position Summary
Highland Pines Resort is a summer outdoor recreational resort with 800 guest sites covering over 400acres of property. We are seeking a reliable and versatile Seasonal Skilled Labourer to join our team for the 2026 season and beyond. The position will be an integral part of the Infrastructure Team responsible for the maintenance and construction of all park infrastructure including but not limited to buildings, plumbing, sewer, water, electrical and vehicle fleet management. This role involves performing a variety of repair, renovation, maintenance, and improvement projects across our property and all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform general carpentry work including framing, repairs, installations, and finishing tasks.
· Conduct basic electrical maintenance and repairs in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
· Complete plumbing repairs and installations, including fixtures, piping, and drainage systems.
· Carry out general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
· Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, flooring, trim, cabinetry, and other building components.
· Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
· Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas.
· Identify potential maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
· Assist with seasonal projects, renovations, and property improvements as required.
· Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience in:
· Carpentry
· Basic electrical work
· Plumbing
· General building maintenance and repairs
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, plans, and specifications.
· Experience operating common hand and power tools.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
· Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
· Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Qualifications
· Required Skills and Experience
· Valid G2 Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications
· Trade certification or apprenticeship experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
· Experience in property maintenance, construction, or facilities management.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Belwood, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
