Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cleaner and Baker’s Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant bakery environment, combining cleaning responsibilities with assisting in food preparation, and putting stock away. The ideal candidate will he physically fit, and able to lift 20kg bags and boxes of various bakery stock.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery, kitchen, and customer areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist in food preparation, including prep of various recipes
- Package baked goods carefully for retail or wholesale distribution
- Follow food handling protocols to ensure safety and quality of all products
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and ingredients
- Support the team during busy periods by preparing ingredients and cleaning workstations efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in a bakery, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling techniques is a plus
- Experience in kitchen operations or the food industry will be beneficial for understanding workflow and hygiene standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness and producing high-quality baked goods
Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
