Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our distribution team. This role involves managing inventory, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations while developing skills in logistics and material handling.
Duties
- Operate forklift to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes using warehouse management systems
- Conduct inventory counts and update stock levels accurately within the system
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and products as required
- Ensure proper storage and organization of warehouse items according to safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, including equipment inspection and minor mechanical troubleshooting
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating the movement of goods throughout the facility
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts, and other material handling equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy
- Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse environment
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
