Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team in Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hauling open deck freight, equipment, frac sand safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles to transport goods within Alberta and beyond.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of loads to assigned destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and records in compliance with regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Must be able to pass a pre employment drug test.
- Knowledge of federal transportation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading if required.
- Experience with long-haul, regional, or local driving (as applicable).
