Job Description:
Position involves preparing customer supplied artwork for printing, and designing artwork based on customer specifications. Good working knowledge of computers is a requirement, knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and/or CorelDraw would be considered an asset.
Production and application of logos: You will be required to run various print machines, including direct-to-film printer, paying close attention and performing quality control checks throughout the process. Training will be provided.
Sign production, including layout, running wide format printers and application/installation.
Other duties as required, such as troubleshooting and machine maintenance, monitoring supply levels and keeping work areas clean and tidy.
Required skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Good working knowledge of computers (graphic design experience is an asset)
Very high attention to detail; must be able to follow exact and detailed instructions
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of digital printing, and raster vs. vector file formats
Must be able to work with hand tools
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
Team player
