Victoria Gardens is a 76 bed Long Term Care home in Hamilton, seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurses to join our disciplinary team to provide resident focused care.
Main Job responsibilities include:
- Medication administration in accordance to physician orders and nursing standards,
- Health monitoring
- Nursing assessments & evaluation, care planning
- Supervise and support PSWs and other care staff
- Communicate updates to care team
- Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring residents within the facility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and interventions
- Help orient and mentor new staff members
- If interested, can be a member of Home committees such as: Health and Safety, Infection Control, Fall Prevention, etc.
- Experience with Point Click Care an asset.
- The Home promotes and is supportive of continuing education
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Clearance) within 6 months is required.
- TB test within 6 months required.
- Pay rate is based on SEIU contract
