Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused On-Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of a self-storage facility. This role combines property management, customer service, sales, security oversight, and light maintenance responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for tenants. This position includes on-site housing as part of the overall compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide unit tours, and complete rental agreements
- Maintain accurate tenant records, payments, and reports using management software
- Monitor property security systems, access control, and surveillance equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of units and grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Coordinate auctions, lien processes, and delinquency follow-ups as required
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and arrange vendors for repairs or services
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local bylaws
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management, retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication, sales, and conflict-resolution skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn management software systems
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working independently and making operational decisions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in self-storage or commercial property operations
- Mechanical aptitude or maintenance background
- Bookkeeping or administrative experience
