Unit Summary
The Information Technology Department operates across all Hamilton Health Sciences sites, with the main office located at 293 Wellington Street. The team provides 24‑hour, 7‑day‑a‑week support to meet the operational needs of Hamilton Health Sciences.
Position Summary
The role is responsible for end‑to‑end server and platform management within an enterprise environment, supporting critical business services and applications.
Responsibilities include full lifecycle management of Windows and Linux servers across physical, virtual, and cloud environments; administration of virtualization platforms and Citrix services; building, configuring, patching, monitoring, and decommissioning servers; and performing advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis. The role also covers Office 365 and cloud services administration, including user services, system availability, security configuration, and integration with on‑premises infrastructure, ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
Schedule Work Hours
9-5 Monday to Friday
After-hour and on-call support is required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Computer Science from a community college or equivalent education- Minimum 5 years of server administration and technical experience
- Office 365 administration experience (2 years preferred)
- VMware administration experience (2 years preferred)
- Citrix XenApp administration experience (preferred)
- Time and project management experience (1 year preferred)
