Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional truck driver to join our team at Lenentine Transport Inc. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight throughout Canada/USA while providing dependable service to our customers.
The position requires someone who takes pride in their equipment, communicates well with dispatch, and understands the importance of safe & on time deliveries. Drivers are expected to complete required inspections and paperwork, follow all transportation and safety regulations, and represent our company professionally while on the road and at customer locations.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over long or short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, delivery logs, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation experience
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance requirements
Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
