We are currently seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is suited for someone with 1–2 years of construction experience who is looking to grow into a stronger project delivery role within civil, concrete, and industrial construction.
About the Role
The Project Coordinator will support Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams with the day-to-day coordination and administration of active construction projects. The role includes a mix of office and field responsibilities, including drawing review, document control, RFIs, submittals, quantity tracking, progress reporting, QA/QC documentation, procurement support, cost tracking, scheduling support, and closeout.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure to real construction execution and wants to build a long-term career in project management, estimating, or field operations.
What You Will Do
- Support Project Managers and site teams with daily project coordination and execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, contract documents, site instructions, and project correspondence.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, transmittals, change documentation, and project records.
- Track quantities, production, manpower, equipment, materials, and daily progress.
- Assist with schedule tracking, lookaheads, action items, and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support cost tracking, change order backup, purchase orders, subcontractor coordination, and invoice review.
- Prepare and organize field reports, meeting minutes, progress photos, deficiency lists, and closeout documentation.
- Assist with QA/QC documentation, inspection records, turnover packages, and site compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients as required.
- Help identify drawing conflicts, scope gaps, field issues, delays, and potential cost or schedule impacts.
- Support estimating, procurement, and bid preparation when required.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical project files.
- Work with field staff to help keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward safely and efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in construction coordination, field coordination, estimating, document control, or a related construction role is preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in civil, concrete, industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with project managers, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients in a professional manner.
- Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general project documentation tools.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar construction software is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
