Property Management Company is seeking a Full Time Assistant Property Manager in
Burnaby. The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional
communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. The candidate must have
previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties
and providing support to staff & tenants.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Skills and Qualifications
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple
projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, dynamic 365, CRM systems, and other office
productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and
enjoys a challenge
- A minimum of 5 years office experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a residential rental environment
- A knowledge of accounting (accounts receivable)
- Excellent knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is required
- Solid experience with Arbitration Cases
- Must have working knowledge of the RTA and experience with filing
requirements of the Residential Tenancy Office
- Must be experienced with tenancy paperwork and serving documents
requirements throughout the tenancy that will adhere to the RTA guidelines
- Excellent computer skills - particularly in Word, Excel, e-mail and spreadsheets
- Strong administrative skills and energy in this fast paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and procedure; ability to deal with diverse groups of
tenants
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Good people skills and excellent at customer service
- Quick thinker
- The ability to interact positively with tenants and staff
- Outgoing personality and a strong desire to work hard
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Tenant relations, including rent collections, responding to tenant enquiries, showing &
leasing units
-Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, and exercise
discretion when interfacing with the business
- Answering tenants questions regarding their accounts
- Complete and serve 10 day notices & rent increases in accordance with the RTA
- Completing move out documents
- File and prepare evidence packages for the Residential Tenancy Branch
- Attend Arbitrations as the Acting Agent on behalf of the Landlord
- Assist Property Manager and upper management when needed
- Other duties that may be assigned
