The Data Technician will play a key role in analyzing operational data to improve Quality Verification strategies. You should be a sharp, curious, and analytic individual who has a passion for diving into data to solve business problems. Education, knowledge or analytical experience
Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, etc.)
Visual aptitude for displaying results in a meaningful matter
Understanding of a programming language (R, PHP, or Python)
Strong data visualization techniques for building dashboards, charts, and reports
Ability to present results to clients in clear and concise manner
Self-motivated and self-driven, with demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently
Knowledge of how to analyze data – ideally with some background in math and statistics
Some MS Office exp. (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Including VBA, PivotTables, and array functions
Power BI and/or Tableau experience a bonus
Good working knowledge of SQL queries for data retrieval
Capability to understand and present data in a visual way with knowledge of tools for reporting – includes understanding metrics and KPIs
Work well in a team and communicate with various levels of the organization

Daily/weekly tasks

Receives questions from internal customers, understands the questions, and determines the data needed to answer them with supervision & support
Manage assigned work using project tools and working with the leadership team
Imports, transforms and cleanses data from a variety of sources
Defines data model for cleaned data to create highly structured, reproducible and analyzable data sets
Provide data visualization by building dashboards, charts, and reports that do not require manual updates
Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency
Builds strong relationships across the data analyst community, to share knowledge and learn from others
