Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, mature, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Auction Support Specialist. This position begins as a part-time role offering 25 to 30 hours per week, with strong potential to transition into full-time employment for the right candidate. Please note that some evenings and/or weekend shifts may be required during busy auction periods.
The idea candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. You will work in a fast-paced environment where safety and must be able to problem slove independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed intakes for newly received product
- Organize and execute the lotting and gathering of product
- Handle the packing, shipping, and receiving of client orders
- Provide essential, hands-on support during auction production and post auction
- Provide exceptional on-site customer care and support
- Monitor incoming emails and assist with ongoing team/ client inquiries
- Assit with client pick-ups and drop-offs for wine and spirits
- Off site consignor pick ups, overnights are sometime required
- Execute general administrative tasks as needed
Skills
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service or retail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Professional, mature, and highly dependable demeanor
- Self-starter with high energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work with some supervision
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and strict attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 42 lbs when required and work on your feet
- Safety-minded approach to physical tasks and warehouse duties
- Knowledge of wine is considered an asset, though it is not required
