We are looking for a School Orientation Coordinator for our Toronto 2026 School intake Orientation
Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the delivery of 12 days of activities for 3 groups of 15-25 German Youth in and around Downtown Toronto including an excursion to Niagara Falls for each group
- Coordinate all meals for each group including booking restaurants and pre-ordering meals accounting for dietary restrictions and specifications.
- Present an orientation slideshow to each group with information about Canada and the Canadian education system.
- Ensure all groups are met at and dropped off at the airport on the required schedule.
- Ensure all students and chaperones are assigned appropriate rooms in the pre-booked accommodation based on group specifications.
- Manage all transportation for students and chaperones including ticket purchase and uber/taxi arrangement and payment.
Experience
- Dependable: able to take responsibility for groups of international youth
- Outgoing: able to get folks attention and generally bring up the mood
- Social: able to easily talk to anyone and share your experiences
- Easygoing: able to thrive in a bit of chaos; able to deal with the unexpected
- Open minded: understanding of issues facing international youth and LGBTQIA2+
- Culturally sensitive: able to deal with anyone from anywhere
- Multi-lingual: in addition to fluent English preference is given to applicants with German
Knowledge:
- Familiar with the GTA, the transit system, and local landmarks.
- Experience working with youth in a camp, school field trip, excursion or tour setting
- Tour coordination experience is an asset
Pay: $225.00 per day
