Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, organized, and commercially minded Studio Manager to lead daily operations, develop a high-performing team, deliver an exceptional member experience, and drive continued studio growth.
This role offers the opportunity to lead an established studio with a strong foundation, experienced coaches, loyal members, and an updated facility. The successful candidate will build on this foundation by driving membership sales, improving retention, developing B2B relationships, expanding community outreach, and increasing the studio’s visibility within the local market.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership and operational skills with a passion for sales, relationship building, fitness, and community engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudio Operations and Team Leadership
- Lead all day-to-day studio operations, ensuring smooth class schedules, efficient processes, and an exceptional member experience.
- Supervise, hire, train, coach, and evaluate studio staff, including coaches and front-desk team members.
- Build and maintain a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, payroll processing, and administrative operations.
- Support clear communication and collaboration between management, coaches, and front-desk staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional studio environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operating procedures.
Sales, Membership Growth, and Retention
- Own studio membership sales goals and support the team in consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Manage the full membership sales cycle, including lead follow-up, consultations, studio tours, trials, conversions, renewals, and retention.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase memberships, referrals, class attendance, member engagement, and revenue.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators, including leads, conversion rates, cancellations, retention, attendance, and revenue.
- Train and coach staff on sales processes, customer follow-up, service standards, and membership conversion.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through retail sales, promotions, events, referrals, and other studio offerings.
- Deliver an outstanding onboarding experience that helps new members feel connected, supported, and committed to their fitness journey.
- Build strong relationships with existing members to encourage loyalty, referrals, and long-term retention.
Business Development and Community Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, residential communities, schools, organizations, and community groups.
- Develop B2B partnerships that generate leads, referrals, corporate wellness opportunities, and promotional collaborations.
- Establish partnerships with neighboring condominium and residential buildings to promote the studio through initiatives such as:
- Exclusive resident membership offers
- Introductory workouts and fitness events
- Lobby or community-room promotions
- Resident referral programs
- Building newsletters and digital communications
- On-site wellness or pop-up events
- Develop relationships with complementary local businesses, including wellness providers, retailers, restaurants, professional offices, and community organizations.
- Represent F45 at local events, networking opportunities, health and wellness initiatives, and community activities.
- Coordinate open houses, pop-up workouts, referral campaigns, member appreciation events, and community activations.
- Collaborate with ownership and marketing teams to implement local marketing campaigns and partnership initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate qualified membership leads within the surrounding community.
Financial and Administrative Management
- Oversee retail sales, merchandising, pricing, inventory purchasing, and cash handling.
- Assist with budgeting, bookkeeping, reporting, and expense management.
- Maintain accurate records in the studio’s POS and management systems, preferably Mindbody.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are appropriately priced, displayed, and replenished.
- Support payroll administration and ensure required information is submitted accurately and on time.
- Monitor studio revenue and expenses while supporting profitability goals.
- Prepare or contribute to regular operational, sales, and financial reports.
Member Experience and Marketing
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely, professional communication with members and prospects.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries while maintaining excellent communication and phone etiquette.
- Address and resolve member concerns promptly, professionally, and thoughtfully.
- Implement marketing and engagement initiatives that promote studio programs, strengthen member relationships, and support retention.
- Gather member feedback and identify opportunities to improve the overall studio experience.
- Ensure that prospective and current members receive a consistent, welcoming, and high-quality experience at every touchpoint.
- Support social media, email, referral, promotional, and local marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience in a fitness, retail, hospitality, sales, or customer-focused environment.
- Demonstrated success in sales, membership growth, business development, or relationship management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Experience developing partnerships, community outreach programs, or local marketing initiatives is an asset.
- Proven experience managing sales performance, customer retention, and revenue growth.
- Experience with retail sales, merchandising, pricing, inventory, and cash handling.
- Familiarity with POS and fitness management systems, preferably Mindbody.
- Experience with payroll administration, budgeting, bookkeeping, and purchasing processes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training, and employee development.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are preferred.
- A passion for fitness, wellness, sales, and building strong local communities.
