Siya Forestry LP is seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician who enjoys field work and is ready to take greater ownership of projects, provide field leadership and work directly with project managers to deliver high-quality forestry development work.
Siya Forestry is an established joint venture between the Osoyoos Indian Band (OIB) and Infinity-Pacific Stewardship Group Ltd., supporting OIB's vision for a more direct and meaningful role in managing lands and resources within its traditional territory.
THE ROLE
· Road and cutblock layout, traversing and associated field assessments
· Work directly with Interior Managers to establish project milestones and deliver on project requirements
· Provide field leadership to the Siya field team
· Support timely delivery of consistent, high-quality field services
· Guide and support field staff
· Take on additional responsibilities based on experience, performance and career interests
COMPENSATION & FIELD PACKAGE
· Full-time employment with a typical 5-on / 2-off workweek
· Paid travel time
· Overtime pay where applicable for eligible non-professional employees
· Company truck provided from the designated marshalling point

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
· Minimum 3 years of experience in multi-phase timber development in British Columbia
· Experience with road and block layout, traversing and associated assessments
· Familiarity with BC forestry legislation and regulations
· Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
· Ability to work independently and provide leadership within a field team
· Registration or eligibility for registration with the ABCFP is an asset
