Role Overview:
Our client is looking for a meticulous, experienced and proactive Architectural Contract Administrator to manage and oversee architectural contracts throughout their lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of contract administration, from initial preparation and negotiation to final execution and closeout. You will ensure that all contractual obligations are met, maintain compliance with project requirements, and act as a key liaison between architects, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Your role will be crucial in keeping projects on track by managing timelines, budgets, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your expertise will help resolve any contract-related issues that arise and ensure smooth communication and documentation throughout the project's duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction administration tasks for projects, handling both office duties (like processing payment certificates, preparing change orders, and managing project documentation) and field duties (such as attending site meetings, issuing site instructions, and preparing field review reports).
- Organize and manage contract administration, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Implement project plans as directed by or in collaboration with the project team.
- Supervise project work and ensure it aligns with established goals and standards.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, focusing primarily on construction administration, but also participating in design aspects as needed, including reviewing pre-tender documents.
- Regularly update the project architect & principals on job cost control, scheduling issues, project progress, and time management.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a plus.
- 10+ years of relevant experience required.
- Experience with mixed-use and healthcare projects.
- Knowledge of local and provincial building codes.
- Ability to work in both official languages is a strong asset.
