WHERE YOU COME IN
We are looking for a Digital Business Analyst to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
The position’s primary responsibility is to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through technology. You will work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT professionals, and end-users, to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into technical specifications to enhance efficiency and support business growth.
This role can be based in any Make-A-Wish Canada office and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of digital project objectives.
- Manage the portfolio of digital solutions to identify solution enhancement, replacement or decommission.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance the user experience by gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to digital tools and processes.
- Analyse current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with IT and other business units to implement and integrate new digital solutions. This involves understanding the needs of different departments and ensuring that digital tools meet those needs.
- Assist in the development and execution of digital workplace strategies. This includes identifying opportunities for digital transformation and recommending new technologies.
- Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of Digital IT projects.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
- Deliver training and promotes the adoption of digital solutions to all staff.
- Develop the knowledge repository, FAQs, user manuals, and training videos.
- Support staff with day-to-day inquiries, questions and clarifications regarding digital solutions usage and issues.
- Complete various business projects mandated by the IT Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post-secondary education in the Information Technology industry, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT environment.
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and improve digital workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and provided user support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Experience with business process modelling tools (e.g., Visio).
- Experience with project management solutions (e.g., Asana).
- Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft products is a must (e.g., Office 365, SharePoint).
- High degree of responsibility including confidentiality.
- A clear Criminal Background Check will be required.
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid work environment - two days in office, three days working remotely from a home office per week.
- Occasional work outside of regular office hours, including occasional evening and weekends.

- Sitting for long periods of time and long hours of computer use.
- High degree of responsibility for technology systems.
